Qualified Shia Alim | 10+ Years Online Teaching Experience

Assalam-o-Alaikum! I am Maulana Hassan Sherazi, founder of Shia Quran Lessons. My journey in Islamic education began at a young age when I completed Hifz (memorization) of the Holy Quran. I then pursued traditional Islamic studies from Hawza Ilmiyya and received Ijazah in Qira'at (Hafs 'an Asim) with complete Tajweed rules.

For over a decade, I have been teaching Quran online to 500+ students across USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and 12+ other countries. My students range from young children (age 4) to adults over 60. I specialise in:

  • Tajweed: Correct pronunciation, Makharij, and beautification of recitation
  • Hifz: Structured memorization with daily revision (sabaqi & manzil system)
  • Tafseer: Deep understanding from authentic Shia sources (Tafseer-e-Namoona, Al-Mizan)
  • Duas & Ziyarat: Teaching important Shia supplications like Dua Kumayl, Dua Tawassul, and Ziyarat Ashura

I personally assess every new student and design their learning plan. For sisters and young girls, we have qualified female teachers trained under my supervision. My teaching philosophy combines authentic Shia knowledge with patience and modern teaching methods.

Our Story

Shia Quran Lessons was established in 2016 by Maulana Hassan Sherazi with a clear vision: to bridge the gap between Shia families living in Western countries and authentic Quranic education.

What began as a small initiative teaching a few children in the local community quickly grew into a global online academy. We recognized that many Shia parents in the USA, UK, Canada, and Australia struggled to find qualified Shia teachers who could provide their children with proper Tajweed, Hifz, and Tafseer according to the teachings of Ahlulbayt (AS).

Today, we are proud to have taught over 500 students from more than 15 countries. Our students include professionals, busy parents, and young children all learning at their own pace with flexible timings that fit their schedules.

We remain committed to our founding principle: every Shia Muslim, no matter where they live, deserves access to high-quality Quran education that connects them with the Book of Allah and the legacy of the Ahlulbayt.
